CanvasM, a joint venture between Tech Mahindra and Motorola, has bagged a multi-million dollar deal from Baharin's Aytaf Telecom to provide value added services.

Sources said the contract is vaild till 2010 but can be extended after the expiry. On the size of the deal, company official only said it is a multi-million dollar one.

CanvasM will provide converged multi-play services to the Middle East telecom firm. Tech Mahindra holds 80 per cent in the joint venture.

Most of the TechMahindra clients are CanvasM clients, although the JV has a few stand-alone customers as well.

CanvasM Technologies is preparing mobile applications on Google's Android platform for HTC handsets which Airtel is expected to launch this month.

CanvasM is a key player in the mobile VAS space, focused on developing and deploying solutions and applications for media, operators and enterprises across the globe.
