Texmaco, Teledata, Himatsingka & Hikal Q3 results

Texmaco Q3 net dips 25.79%
 
A K K Birla group company, Texmaco Ltd registered 25.79 per cent decline in net profit of Rs 4.46 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year as compared with Rs 6.01 crore in the same period last year.
 
Total income of the company also decreased 14.33 per cent at Rs 74.23 crore from Rs 86.65 crore in the corresponding period.
 
For the nine months ended December 31, 2005, total income stood at Rs 246.87 crore as compared with Rs 192.40 crore in the same period of 2004-05.
 
The company said the results were adversely affected due to delay in release of wagon orders by Indian Railways.
 
Texmaco’s steel foundry earned an income of Rs 73 crore in the first nine months of 2005-06, as compared with Rs 58 crore in the same period last year.
 
Teledata Q3 net profit at Rs 38.96 cr
 
Teledata Informatics has reported net profit of Rs 38.96 crore and net sales of Rs 217.72 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.
 
The previous year’s figures are not comparable since the figures for the third quarter of this financial year include cumulative results of companies taken over by Teledata during the quarter.
 
For the nine month period ended December 31, 2005, net sales and net profit were Rs 589.34 crore and Rs 108.99 crore respectively.
 
The company’s net sales for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 was Rs 109.33 crore and the net profit was Rs 31.14 crore and for the period ended six months ended September 30, 2005, the net sales reported was Rs 213.08 crore and the net profit was Rs 62.17 crore.
 
Himatsingka net up 2% to Rs 11.95 cr
 
The net profit for Himatsingka Seide, the Bangalore-based textile company, has increased by 1.78 per cent to Rs 11.95 crore for the quarter ended December 2005 as against Rs 11.74 crore for the same period last year.
 
Net sales went up by 3.95 per cent to touch Rs 40.78 crore for the quarter ended December 2005 as against Rs 39.23 crore for the corresponding period last year. EPS remained almost the same for the period at Rs 1.51.
 
Upper Ganges net up 53% to Rs 14 cr
 
Upper Ganges Sugar has posted a turnover of Rs 109.12 crore during the second quarter ended December 2005, up 50.18 per cent over the turnover of Rs 72.59 crore during the same period last year.
 
Its net profit rose 52.52 per cent to Rs 13.71 crore from Rs 8.99 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
 
Hikal net up 19.2% to Rs 9.9 cr
 
Hikal posted growth of 19.2 per cent in net profit during the quarter ended Decemebr 31, 2005, at Rs 9.9 crore as against Rs 8.3 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
 
Net sales for the quarter surged to Rs 55 crore as against Rs 44.7 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous year, an increase of 23.04 per cent.
 
For the nine months period, the company’s net sales stood at Rs 173.1 crore as against Rs 132.6 crore for the corresponding period last year, a jump of 30.54 per cent. Net profit for the period was Rs 29 crore, an increase of 28.31 per cent (Rs 22.6 crore).
