Thermax opened at Rs 455 and surged 6% from there to the day's high of Rs 482. However, it could not hold on to its gains and ended with a gain of 2% at Rs 470. Over 82,626 shares were traded on the BSE today.

Thermax has advanced 3.5% to Rs 476,on the back of bagging a order worth Rs 255 crore.
The counter has clocked a volume of around 24,900 shares as against its two-week average trades of 27,652 shares.
Thermax informed BSE in arelease that the company had received an order of Rs 255 crore from a leading business conglomerate for supply of CFBC boilers (Circulating Fluidised Bed Combustion Boiler). The CFBC boilers are for setting up of the captive power plant for their cement plant in Uttar Pradesh.
This is the biggest CFBC boiler order received by the company which underlines the leadership position of the company in this segment.
