| Global IT-enabled services BPO company, Tricom India, has posted a 154 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 2.67 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2005, compared with 1.05 crore registered during the same period of the previous financial year.

| The company's consolidated income from BPO services rose to Rs 7.57 crore, compared with Rs 3.63 crore recorded during the same period a year ago. During the quarter, the company added 290 employees, increasing the total to 1,696 by the end of the quarter.

| Phyto Chem net dips 22% to Rs 30.25 lakh

| Phyto Chem (India) net profit declined by around 21.61 per cent in the quarter ended September 30, 2005, at Rs 30.25 lakh as compared with Rs 38.59 lakh in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal. Net sales recorded a drop of around 8 per cent at Rs 4.8 crore as compared with Rs 5.21 crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal.

| Sahara India Mass Communication has posted a fall of 16.96 per cent in net profit at Rs 1.86 crore, for the quarter ended September 2005 compared with Rs 2.24 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenues stood at Rs 44.18 crore, up 2.36 per cent compared with Rs 35.74 crore last year.
