Amit Ladsaria“We have received excellent response from the Orissa customers and plan to add 8 more EBOs in Orissa by March 2010”, Amit Ladsaria, director, Turtle Limited, said here.

Briefing the media about the company’s expansion plans, he said, at present the company has 11 EBOs in the eastern states. This will be increased to 60 by March 2010.

The company achieved a sales turnover of Rs 3.5 crore (wholesale price) in Orissa last fiscal and targets to increase this to Rs 4.5 crore during the current fiscal. It expects its sales to increase to Rs 75 crore nationally in 2008-09 from Rs 46 crore in the previous fiscal.

It attaches great importance to the Orissa market and attributes the success of the brand in the state market to strong corporate social responsibility (CSR). About Rs 6 lakhs were given by the company to Wildlife Society of Orissa for conservation of turtles in the Orissa coast. A part of the sale proceeds of Turtle is spent for funding the projects for conservation of fresh water and marine turtles.
