Turtle to focus on interior Maharashtra

Turtle Limited, a menswear accessories and apparels’ brand, recently announced its expansion plans for the Pune region.

The brand plans to open two new exclusive brand outlets in Pune by March 2010. Pune accounts for about 5 per cent of total Turtle sales. The company aims to increase this figure to 8 per cent by next year end. It plans to open 14 new stores across the state of Maharashtra.

Turtle Ltd is also targeting to expand itself to fourteen more cities towns in the western region, said Sumitro Chandra, head, western
region, Turtle Ltd. This expansion will be achieved by opening of ten more exclusive stores and 45 of the multi brand stores.

Turtle products are already available in 34 multi brand outlets and one exclusive brand outlet with the name Turtle World in Kolhapur.
Presently on display in various big retail chains across the country, Turtle has decided to focus on the interior markets of Maharashtra
like Karhad and beyond.

Turtle Ltd launched a new menswear economy brand London Bridge in the range of Rs 399 to Rs 699 recently. In Maharashtra, Turtle is present in 25 cities and towns including Nagpur, Solapur, Tasgaon, Amravati, Baramati and Daund.

With two production units in Howrah and one in Bangalore, the company has a capacity of close to 5,000 pieces per day. It also plans to get into the women category soon.
