Media and entertainment firm Television Eighteen today said its board has decided to issue shares on rights basis.     

The company would issue shares at Rs 84 a piece and the issue would open on September 29 and close on October 13, Television Eighteen said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Earlier, on May 13 in a separate filing to the BSE, the company had approved to raise Rs 510 crore by issuing shares to the promoters of the company, on rights basis primarily to repay debt.     

Shares of Television Eighteen were trading at Rs 111.95 on the BSE, down 1.28 per cent from previous close.
