| TVS to launch two models in next few months | |

Two wheeler maker TVS Motor Company today said it will launch two models in next 4-5 months as it aims to increase its sales by 12-15 per cent in the current fiscal.
The company, which today launched its premium motorcycle Apache RTR 180 at an introductory price of Rs 63,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi), would introduce one scooter and one bike in the executive segment.
"We will be launching one scooter and one motorcycle during the next 4-5 months. Our target is to achieve an overall sales growth of 12-15 per cent during this fiscal," TVS Motor Company President (Marketing) H S Goindi told reporters here.
He, however, declined to give details including specifications and price range of the two proposed models.
Asked about the plans for the Apache segment after launch of the RTR 180, Goindi said: "We are currently selling around 10,000 bikes per month of Apache. Our target is to sell 15,000-17,000 bikes from our Apache RTR 160, RTR 160 Fi and RTR 180 within next two years."
The company aims to sell about 12,000 bikes of Apache family, which contributes to around 10 per cent to its total sales per annum. Overall, motorcycle contribute to about 50 per cent of TVS' sales.
