UBS plans 71 new outlets across Maharashtra
BS Reporter / Mumbai/ Pune Jun 13, 2009, 00:29 IST

UltraTech Cement Ltd is planning to launch 71 building solutions outlets in Maharashtra over next 12 to 18 months. The company, which runs UltraTech Building Solutions (UBS) outlets, as part of its expansion plans recently launched five new outlets in Pune.

The UBS outlets provide end-to-end home building solutions along with access to branded construction material, land deals and various approvals. The outlets also provide budget softwares and other required solutions to its clients. UltraTech Cement chief marketing officer OP Puranmalka said, "Maharashtra is a priority state for our company and we are now extending the UBS concept in Pune. We have been successful in providing unique shopping experiences to homemakers in our existing stores. We plan to set up 71 more outlets across Maharashtra in near future."

The company is already running a large number of stores in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh. "The experience we have gained from these states have helped achieve excellence in customer interface. We are looking at providing end-to-end homebuilding solutions and not just products," Puranmalka stated.

The new outlets being planned in Maharashtra would come up in tier-III and tier-IV cities like Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Latur, Sangli and Satara. Apart from providing end-to-end solutions, UBS outlets guide clients on construction materials such as cement, paints, water-proofing compounds, white cement, steel, PVC pipes and others. The outlets also run mobile concrete testing vans.
