Ultra Motor Company (UMC) today announced the launch of two new electric scooters - Ultra Fun and Ultra Shakti.

The scooters have been designed, developed and manufactured by an international team of expert designers and engineers specifically for urban commuters, a company release here said today.

Ultra Shakti is a low speed vehicle with 250W geared motor designed for hilly terrains.

Ultra Fun is also a low speed vehicle with 250W motor built on the "Velociti platform". "It is easy to ride because of its height, size and weight and is expected to find special favour with school going kids and women," the company said.

K K Bhan, CEO, Ultra Motor Company, India, said: "Ultra Fun and Ultra Shakti are clean, gasoline-free transportation alternatives for the thousands of short trips Indians take every day."
