The Union Cabinet today condoled the death of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, who died in a helicopter crash, and decided to accord him a state funeral.

The national flag will fly at half mast here and at all state capitals today and tomorrow, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni told reporters after the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The Cabinet also observed a two-minute silence to mourn his death.
