United Phosphorus surged 2.36 per cent to Rs 315 after Advanta India, in which it has a significant stake of 49 per cent, acquired sun-flower seed business of Limagrain, a US-based company. The scrip opened at Rs 310 and went on to achieve a high of Rs 317 and a low of Rs 302 during intra-day trades.
A total of 91,779 shares of United Phosphorus changed hands at BSE. The scrip has fallen 0.60 per cent in the last one week and 10.76 per cent during the last one month.
