Speaking to BS from Washington D C Nirani said the luncheon business session on investment opportunities in Karnataka with the business community organised at Washington DC proved fruitful as they seemed to be impressed by the developments taking place in Karnataka.
“They were happy to know the developments in the state and the initiatives taken up by the new government in the areas of infrastructure, urban development and human resource among others,” Nirani said.
The minister welcomed all the investors to invest in Karnataka and assured all the support and hel from the state government. He also invited them to participate in Global Investors Meet at Bangalore scheduled during January 2009.
More than 90 Indian and American businessmen attended the programme. The Karnataka delegation headed by minister Murugesh Nirani interacted with the investors.
Chief secretary Sudhakar Rao, principal secretary, commerce and industries V Umesh, commissioner for industrial development and director industries and commerce Rajkumar Khatria and Karnataka Udyoga Mitra MD V Venugopal also participated in discussions.
