US markes edged up on Monday on news of merger activities among big corporates. The Dow added 124 points (1%) to 9,789. The Nasdaq moved up 40 points (2%) to 2,131.

The Indian ADRs were all in green. Mahindra Satyam soared 6.2% to $6.62. Tata Communications surged 4% to $20.42.

Infosys and Patni Computers added 2.5% each to $47.95 and $18.18, respectively. HDFC Bank, Sterlite and Tata Motors were up 1-2% each.

However, Dr Reddy's slipped 1.5% to $20.2.
