US stocks moved on Tuesday as encouraging economic data improved the investor confidence and the renomination of Federal Reserve chief Ben Bernanke

The Dow Jones industrial average advanced 30 points( 0.32%) to 9,539. The Nasdaq Composite Index  rose six points (0.31%) to 2,024.
