US markets end in green as energy shares gain

US markets ended in the positive zone on Monday as higher oil prices gave a fillip to energy shares. The Dow added 91 points (1%) to 8,529. The Nasdaq was flat at 1,844, up six points.

Indian ADRs were mixed.

MTNL surged 7.5% to $4.38. Sterlite and Patni Computers gained 3.5% each at $13.17 and $11, respectively.

Dr Reddy's added 2.5% to $16.76. Satyam was up 1% at $3.26.

Meanwhile, Genpact and Tata Motors shed 3.5% each to $11.54 and $9.4, respectively. Infosys slipped 1% to $37.24.

Wipro, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank were flat.
