US stocks suffered their worst loss in seven weeks as poor data from Japan and a disappointing outlook from retailer Lowe's Cos raised concerns about the revival of the economy.

The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 186 points (2%) to end at 9,135. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 54.68 points (3%) to 1,930.84.

All the Indian ADRs have ended on a negative note.

ICICI Bank dropped around 7% to 28.67. Tata Communciations and Patni Computers slipped around 6% each to $ 19.33 and $15.35, respectively.

Dr Reddys and Wipro were down 5% each at $15.63 and $ 14.67, respectively. Infosys slipped 3% to $40.59.
