| USL launches liquor hypermall in Bangalore |

United Spirits, spirits arm of the UB group, has launched Spiritz&More @ House of Spirits, a liquor hypermall in partnership with Bangalore-based entrepreneur Subba Reddy.
Spiritz&More @ House of Spirits will offer over 1,000 brands in the store. Some of the brands that will be available include Jura, W&M Special, Black Dog, Pinky vodka, Antiquity, Signature, Royal Challenge and other mid-segment and premium brands from the United Spirits portfolio. The wine varieties include the Bouvet range, South African 10 Chapters wines and Four Seasons Wines. The store is spread over 5,000 sq ft area. It will also sell accessories like imported wine glasses and decanters.
Subba Reddy, who has a network of wine stores and bars, is planning to expand the liquor hypermall format to key IT corridors of Bangalore in the coming years and take the first mover advantage in the liquor hypermall concept.
“We are planning to partner with several other traditional stores in this region and introduce them to the advantages of staying connected with the consumers through modern retailing,” said Ashok Capoor, deputy president, United Spirits Limited, which operates in liquor retailing under the Spiritz&More banner. Spiritz&More presently has 12 outlets in Bangalore. USL has a portfolio of over 140 brands and has manufacturing and bottling units in 74 locations across the country.
