IMI Delhi’s Annual Finance Summit- 4 & 5 September, 2009

PRAHELIKA 2009, International Management Institute (IMI), Delhi’s annual finance summit organized by the finance club of IMI Finalyze, intended to provide a platform for interaction with eminent personalities from the industry and discuss the contemporary issues facing the world of finance, will be held on Friday 04th & Saturday 05th September, 2009 at IMI, Delhi, B 10 Qutub Institutional Area, at 9:30 AM.

With the theme – “Valuation of Equity” the objective of the summit is to bring together academicians, practitioners and learners of finance on a common platform to share knowledge and experience on current trends and practices. This event is expected to be participated by several corporate from different organizations and almost all B-Schools across the country

Striving to answer puzzling questions” PRAHELIKA 2009 is a 2-day event to be held on 4th and 5th of September 2009. It will have round table discussions with eminent personalities from the corporate and a paper presentation competition. The audience will include the students from the premiere B-schools in India. The topics for the discussions are DCF Valuation in a Relative Valuation World, Impact of Corporate Actions on Valuations, Listed and Unlisted Equity Valuation Models, Valuation from Venture capitalists and PE investor’s view point and Real Option Valuation. Paper presentation will be on a wide range of topics from the field of finance. PRAHELIKA 2009 is an attempt to understand the fundamentals of equity valuation during varying market situations. The underlying theme of PRAHELIKA 2009 focuses on getting an insight from industry experts on how to make sound investment decisions based on correct valuation.

N. Vijay- Managing Director - P.N. Vijay Financial Services, Mr. Sanjay Dutt - CEO - JLL Meghraj, Mr. Bharat Banka - CEO, Aditya Birla (Private Equity), Mr. Praveen Bhambani - Associate Director – PWC, Ms. Roopa Purushothaman- Research Head - Future Capital Holding, Mr. Raghupati Karanamu – Associate Director – UBS, Mr. Gagan Deep Singh – SBI capital, Mr. Andy Lister – KPMG, Mr. Sachin Gulati – Head, Valuations – Jones Lang LaSalle Meghraj (JLLM)

The event will have the panelists discuss various facets of Housing Finance, Listed Equity Valuation Models, Venture Capital Perspective, Valuation of Listed Companies, Unlisted Equity Valuation Models, Private Equity Perspective, Valuation for M&A, Next Demographic Shift: Urbanization and Consumption pattern in India
