Videocon Industries, Reliance Capital & Aban Offshore Q1 result

Videocon Industries net down 51%
Consumer durables major Videocon Industries on Friday reported a 51.24 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 124.35 crore for the quarter ended June 30. Income from operations declined to Rs 2,461.37 crore for the latest quarter of current fiscal from Rs 2,612.90 crore in the corresponding period last year, Videocon Industries said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Reliance Capital net dips 56%
Anil Ambani group firm Reliance Capital on Friday reported a 56 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 151.04 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, as it booked lower capital gains. Total income also declined 3 per cent to Rs 1,469.25 crore in the same quarter, Reliance Capital said in a statement.

Aban Offshore profit dips 10%
Drilling and oil services firm Aban Offshore on Friday said its consolidated net profit declined by 10.34 per cent to Rs 110.8 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2009, over the same period last year. Total income increased to Rs 803.4 crore in the latest quarter, against Rs 770.2 crore in the same period in the previous fiscal, Aban Offshore said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
