Vivek Kudva takes over as Franklin Templeton India MD

Financial services major, Franklin Templeton has appointed Vivek Kudva as its Managing Director for India and Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa effective from March 1.

Kudva was serving as the President, India for Franklin Templeton Investments and has an experience of over 20 years in the banking industry, a press release said here.

 
The company also announced the appointment of Harshendu Bindal as the President of Indian asset management business.

Bindal will take charge from April 1 and will focus on successfully positioning the Indian business for growth, it said.

Franklin Templeton Investments has over $401-billion in assets under management as on January 31, 2009.
