Drug firm Wanbury today said it has launched an advanced form of anti-aneamia drug Cpink IIC, used in the treatment of the disease in pregnant women and children in the domestic market.
Cpink IIC has been introduced with a unique integrated iron complexation technology that reduces gastro intestinal irritations, which lead to increase in absorption of iron in the body, Wanbury said in a statement.
Currently, cpink is the second largest selling brand in iron segment with a turnover of Rs 30 crore and has 19 per cent share in the Rs 190 domestic market for the anti-aneamia drug.
"India is the aneamia capital of the world as patients do not continue the medication on account of high incidence of GI irritations in the existing ferrous ascorbate brands," Wanbury Executive Director Rajaram Samant said.
