Announcement / Corporate Sep 22, 2009, 19:22 IST

Westside was awarded the “Most Admired Retailer of the Year” in the Department Store category at the recently held Images Retail Awards 2009, the most eagerly awaited awards of the organised retail industry in India. The awards ceremony was the culminating event of the India Retail Forum 2009 (IRF) held on September 17, 2009 at The Renaissance, Powai.

On receiving the awards, Ms. Smeeta Neogi, Head- Marketing, Westside said, “This award is in recognition to the effort made by the entire Westside team to make customer experience at all our stores one of deep satisfaction, be it with our service or apparel and accessory collection. Hence we are extremely happy and delighted to receive this appreciation. It re-affirms our belief in us and motivates further to contribute even more.”

The other nominations in this segment were Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Lifestyle, Globus, and Reliance Trends.

The Images Retail Awards followed strict international benchmarks in deciding the top honors with IRIS Retail Intelligence as Knowledge Partner and global consulting firm AT Kearney as the Process Approver. The selection process involved self-nominations as well as a countrywide poll to short-list the nominees.

Westside, which has 40 stores spread over 23 cities, has won this award on 3 previous occasions.
