New Delhi-based Win Medicare (Private) Limited, which has its manufacturing facility at Rudrapur in Uttarakhand, is targeting a 5 per cent share of the Rs 500-crore protein supplements market in India.
The company on Thursday launched its soyprotein supplement ‘Soypower’ in the region. Phase-I of the launch would cover the cities of Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, followed by a pan-India rollout.
Win Medicare is importing soya protein supplement from Solae, a Brazil-based company, and packages it at the Rudrapur plant. The company had invested Rs 8 crore in adding a packaging line at the exiting facility, which now has a capacity to pack about 300 tonne a year.
