Won't sell stake in Canfin Homes: Canara Bank
Press Trust of India / Bangalore Jul 12, 2010, 13:50 IST

Leading public sector bank Canara Bank today denied that it was planning to sell its stake in housing finance subsidiary Canfin Homes.

"Canara Bank has emerged as a financial supermarket and, in this endeavour, Canfin Homes Limited plays an important role," the bank said in a press statement here today.

"Canfin Homes Limited, a housing finance company sponsored by the bank, is performing well and is on a growth trajectory. There is absolutely no question of the bank divesting any of its holdings in Canfin Homes Limited," it added.
