What do you think is the best gadget to buy this season?
Though I have been hearing a lot about the Apple iPhone in the last couple of months, I have seen good reviews for the Samsung Omnia also. I think Omnia will be the best gadget to buy this season.

Name one gadget that’s an all-in-one favourite.
The Nokia N96. It is one of the best gadgets I have used so far. It has a fast processor and a memory of 16 GB, a good screen of 2.8 inches and a 5.0 megapixel camera. And a Qwerty keyboard is great for SMS and emails.

What is one of the first gadgets you bought, and still use?
I am not emotional about gadgets. I have not kept any of those gadgets that I bought in my early days.

What popular gadget do you think is overrated?
I think the Apple iPhone is a highly overrated gadget. It might have stunning features, but it is user-unfriendly. It takes a lot of time to find the right keys to get cracking on the function.

What gizmo would you love to gift, and to whom and why?
I am planning to gift the Samsung Omnia mobile to my son Divij on his birthday. It’s stylish and has a high-resolution touch-sensitive 3.2 inch WQVGA LCD screen, an on-screen Qwerty, 5.0 megapixel CMOS camera, GPS System and 32 GB memory. I am sure he will love it.

What gizmo would you like to invent?
I have always thought about a phone that can work during a flight, so that the travel time can be well used, especially on long flights.

Is there a gadget that you lost and still feel sorry about losing?
Two years ago I lost my cellphone during a conference. It had a lot of information and contacts.

Name a buy you regret having spent so much money on.
I remember a long time ago I purchased a DVD player and Handycam from the US. I paid a hefty amount for both of them. But after some time there was a problem with the DVD player which could not be repaired in India.

What’s your highest-performance yet easiest-to-handle gadget?
My BlackBerry, as it’s the kind of gadget that I have always wanted — it’s easy to handle, user-friendly, and communicates effectively and quickly. It serves the purpose of owning it.

Who’s your one-stop gadget guru?
I usually like to discuss upcoming technology with my son Divij, who is extremely tech-savvy.
