Yatra.com appoints Pratik Mazumder as Head of Marketing and Strategic Relations

Pratik to be a key member of the Yatra.com leadership team.

Yatra.com, India’s leading online travel company today announced the appointment of Pratik Mazumder as the head of marketing. As a part of the core team, Pratik will be responsible for the overall marketing function including developing and launching new marketing initiatives, managing the brand, consumer intelligence and ad sales. He will be managing the key strategic relations with partners and alliances, and explore new revenue opportunities as well for Yatra.com.

Speaking on the appointment, Dhruv Shringi, Co Founder & CEO, Yatra.com said, “We are delighted to welcome Pratik on board. Pratik comes to Yatra.com with over 15 years of experience in marketing, with special focus on brand, product management and marketing communications. In his 7 year stint at Bharti Airtel from 2002 to 2008, Pratik did various roles including managing the brand communication for Delhi Circle, managing the pre paid brand – Magic nationally, before leading the Brand & Media Communication portfolio for Bharti Airtel’s mobile business nationally. Pratik was part of the key team in rolling out Airtel nationally across 23 circles, standardizing the brand guidelines and developing the cult ‘Express Yourself” positioning for Airtel. He then moved to Karnataka as the marketing head for the circle and was responsible for managing topline revenue of over Rs 3500 crore annually and a subscriber base of over 10 million.  Prior to joining Bharti, Pratik has also worked with reputed marketing agencies like Ogilvy One Worldwide and Enterprise Nexus Direct. Prior to joining Yatra.com he was a Director with Trojan Horse, a boutique marketing and brand consultancy firm.

Pratik has won several awards in his career including Cannes Gold in the Lions Direct category and was also nominated for the global best practices of DM & CRM by Direct Marketing Association, USA for the work on Indian Airlines. Pratik holds a Post Graduate Diploma in advertising and communications from the Clarion College of Communication, Calcutta and has done his Bachelor of Commerce from St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta.
