| The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) today launched futures trading in platinum to widen its presence in the metal segment. A total of four contracts in platinum were offered for trading today, of which the first contract will expire next month, while the rest three in March, June and September next year, the exchange circular said. |

Sebi has allowed trade timing in equities to be extended, from 9 am to 5 pm; the current hours are 9:55 am to 3:30 pm. |

| Chhattisgarh government will take a loan of Rs 700 crore from the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) to procure paddy in the state. The Cabinet has authorised Chhattisgarh Marketing Federation (MARKFED) to issue government instrument (bond) for securing a loan assistance of Rs 700 crore from NCDC at an interest rate of nine per cent per annum. |
