Jagdish Mahapatra appointed McAfee India's MD

Security software provider McAfee has appointed Jagdish Mahapatra as the Managing Director for India and SAARC operations.

Based in Mumbai, Mahapatra will report to Wahab Yusoff, Vice-President South Asia and will spearhead the company's growth in the subcontinent, McAfee said in a statement.

In this role, his key responsibilities include driving enterprise and consumer driven product revenues, strengthening the customer base across verticals and leading channel partner and alliance engagements, it added.

In his previous role, Mahapatra was the Senior Vice President (IT Services Sales) at Cisco Systems India. Prior to that, he has managed the networking business for Godrej Pacific and also been associated with Larsen and Toubro.

McAfee is one of the world's largest security technology company, providing solutions to consumers and businesses against malware and emerging online threats.

Last year, computer chip maker Intel completed the acquisition of the company for $7.68 billion.
