German firm sets up subsidiary in Pune
BS Reporter / Mumbai/ Pune Feb 23, 2012, 00:17

Germany-based global executive search and HR consultancy firm Steinbach & Partner has entered in India by floating a wholly-owned subsidiary called Steinbach and Partner Executive Consultants India Private Limited in Pune.

"Pune was a natural choice for us to start India operations, since it is a home to over 200 German companies and over 1,500 German professionals, who are engaged in auto and engineering businesses," said Sebastian Steinbach, director and board member, Steinbach & Partner.

"Our track record for German precision, professionalism and expertise spans numerous industries including engineering, automotive, aviation and aerospace and our intimate understanding of the environments of different MNCs will prove to be a major advantage for international companies looking for top end leadership talent that fits in their work culture," he added.

Steinbach & Partner recruits for positions primarily at the top and middle management levels and focuses on the industries of mechanical and systems engineering, automation engineering, automotive, aviation, information and communication technologies, energy, healthcare, media and aerospace.

Ramgopal Rao, President and country head of Steinbach and Partner Executive Consultants India Private Limited said, "In the next 2-3 years, we would be starting our centres in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore and would initially focus upon sectors like automotive, engineering and life sciences. We have set a target of Euro 1 million in revenue from the Indian subsidiary in the first three years of operations."

Steinbach also caters to the needs of start-ups and venture capital-funded companies and the service would also be launched in India in due course of time.
