CBI arrests Suresh Kalmadi

Commonwealth Games Organising Committee former chief Suresh Kalmadi has been arrested today in connection with the games scam. He has been booked under Sections 120 B and 420 (criminal conspiracy and cheating) of the Indian Penal Code in the Commonwealth Games Time Scoring Equipment scam. The allegations against him included manipulation of tenders for building stadiums and other games infrastructure, and inflating bills for equipment, including treadmills and toilet paper.
