Foreign tourists look to head out of Delhi amid smog conditions

New Delhi, Nov 11 (ANI): Foreign tourists in New Delhi are preparing to pack their bags and head out as the city gasps for breath amid a pollution emergency, expected to get worse over the weekend. The thick blanket of gray air and pollutants has enveloped Delhi with reading of tiny particulate matter showing hazardous readings. The particles can be inhaled deep into the lungs, causing heart attacks, strokes, lung cancer and respiratory diseases. Doctors have declared the national capital 'unfit for humans'. All construction activities have been brought to halt, vehicular movement has been restricted and raising parking charges raised four times to push residents to use public transport. Illegal crop burning in nearby states have added to the pollution. Organisers of music festivals and open air parties are now cancelling events in wake of the health crisis.
