Advertising agency RMG David has lost the insurance company Dabur CGU's Rs 10 crore advertising business. It is learnt that while the company is yet to appoint an agency for creatives, it has shifted the media buying business to Grey Worldwide's Mediacom. The insurance player is said to be thinking of launching its international campaign in India.
While sources in the agency confirmed that the Dabur CGU business had moved out, the company's country marketing manager Shah Rouf refused to comment on the change. He said that the company was working closely with several vendors and suppliers and would not like to comment on the relationship.
Though the WPP-owned, one-year-old agency RMG David won the CGU account in April this year, the insurance company did not release any campaign.
However, Rouf said that the company will launch its products and the advertising campaign in December.
Commenting on the brand name which the company plans to use in India, he said that the insurance player will operate under the Dabur CGU brand itself. Though in the UK market the company operates under the Norwich Union brand name, "we use the CGU brand name in several Asian markets including Singapore, Malaysia etc," the official said.
