The Sonia Gandhi-led National Advisory Council (NAC) is all set to begin its next phase of activities this week with two new members, Mihir Shah and Ashis Mondal, and shorn of three old faces. M S Swaminathan, who has been arguing for better minimum support price for farmers, is among those who failed to get renominated to NAC. The other persons who lost their berths in NAC are Harsh Mander, who chaired committees that drafted the Land Acquisition Bill, Food Security Bill and the Communal Violence Bill,, and Madhav Gadgil.
