BJP functionary hacked to death
Police said Pugazhendi (52) was attacked near the LIC office situated close to the local police station.
He was earlier the district organiser of the party.
Police said Pughazhendi was accused of grabbing some land properties.
Pugazhendi's relatives came out on the street after the murder and blocked traffic demanding arrest of the culprits.
