EFR man shoots himself

today shot himself dead at his place of posting in Purulia district, police said.

The 45-year-old man, Sandip Thapa, fired at himself from his service revolver when he was alone in his room at Tamna Phari, superintendent of police C Sudhakar said.

The man, who hails from Kurseong in north Bengal, was probably suffering from depression, Sudhakar said.

An investigation was on, he said.

The body was sent for postmortem.
