One dies, four injured in firecracker blast

The police said they were making firecrackers for a local public Durga Puja organisers for a display later in the evening at Kayal Bazar in Sridhar Nagar.

One of them died on the way to hospital, sources said.

The gunpowder and other chemicals caught fire and the unit blasted this afternoon, the police said.

The three critically injured people were admitted to hospital.
