Seven get lifer

including a woman, were today awarded life sentence by a local court in a murder case in Medininagar, three years back.

The District and Session Court judge, Zaffar Imam, pronounced the sentence against Kamla Devi, Surendra Bhuyan, Nandu Barai, Swarup Kahar, Nand Deo Barai, Satyandra Chowrasia and Bhola Kahar.

All were convicted in the murder of one Soti Bhuyan on March 9, 2009.
