Baba Ramdev yoga centre in Haridwar

Vice-President today inaugurated Patanjali Yogpeeth, a Baba Ramdev ayurvedic and yoga centre with world-class facilities here, in the presence of captains of Indian industry.
Bajaj Auto Chairman Rahul Bajaj, Hero Honda Chairman Brijmohan Munjal, of the Hinduja Group, of the Modi group and a host of other top businessmen, along with politicians like and and several other chief ministers, were present on the occasion.
Being built at a cost of Rs 100 crore, the yoga centre will also have an ayurvedic hospital which will cater to nearly 2,500 patients every day.
Though most of the work has been completed in the first phase itself, the second and third phase of the project would also be completed in two-three years' time, officials said.
Despite Baba Ramdev having coming under a cloud for allegedly using parts of animals and human skulls in his medicines, hundreds of people gathered at the yoga centre.
Last year, Baba Ramdev established the Divya Yog Pharmacy at Kankhal area in Haridwar which was inaugurated by Chief Minister N D Tiwari.
Speaking on the occasion, the spiritual said the yoga centre would propagate Pranayam as a free medicine for the treatment of all diseases.
