Police hunt for Delhi blast suspects in B'lore

Press Trust Of India  |  Bangalore

Police in Karnataka are continuing their search in hotels and lodges here and some other cities for the Delhi blast suspects.
"We are not taking any chances," DGP B S Sial said on Sunday. "We have been checking hotels and lodges."
Police have also been conducting searches in cities such as Mysore and Belgaum.
Speculation is rife that three suspects of the Diwali-eve blasts that claimed 59 lives in the national capital may have sneaked into bangalore. But police are quick to scotch such rumours.
"There is nothing to pinpoint (that the suspects may have come to Bangalore to take shelter)," Sial said.
According to the police, if the terrorists have indeed escaped from Delhi and are headed towards southern India, their coming to the country's technology hub cannot be ruled out. Police are proceeding on this assumption.
