Birlas launch book

The Birla family today launched the book named 'Not allowed to cry - the Birla battle with cancer' in Kolkata today on how the late Aditya Vikram Birla and the family fought against the disease.

Written by Ingrid Albuquerque Solomon, the book deals with travails of the family while dealing with Aditya Birla's terminal illness.

The welcome address was delivered by Kumar Mangalam Birla in the presence of Basant Kumar and Sarla Birla, Aditya Birla's parents.

Manjushree Khaitan read out excerpts from the book while Dr A P Majumdar shared with the audience his thoughts on the difficult issue tackled in the work. The programme was conducted by Vidula Jalan.
