Avesthagen in pact with Manipal Acunova

Avesthagen, a Bangalore-based integrated systems biology company, and Manipal Acunova have signed an MoU to bring together competencies in discovery, pre-clinical and clinical research and regulatory matters.

This partnership is expected to enable both the companies to jointly provide a fully integrated platform from early discovery to filing approvals for new products.

The firm will enable companies to screen product candidates and move the promising ones to the market faster.

Manipal Acunova is a collaborative venture between the Manipal Education and Medical Group and AcuNova Life Sciences Inc. Manipal Acunova, since inception a few years ago, has been providing medical, clinical and project management capacities in clinical trials, lab management, data management and biostatistical services.

Avesthagen and Manipal Acunova will also collaborate in delivering high quality, affordable and advanced diagnostic tests using molecular techniques. They will jointly apply and own the intellectual property rights to the database, samples, process and products created by the JV.
