Indian trials of net over power lines: Intel

 "Most of the technical issues in delievering Internet over power lines have been largely addressed. We will link up with our India team in the next eight weeks to begin trials of the technology," Donald J Macdonald, vice president and general manager (digital home group) of Intel Corporation, said.  The trials of the home plug technology have till now been confined to the US, and it would soon expand to other countries including India, he added.  Other partners in the home plug powerline alliance are Cisco, Comsat, General Electric, Sony and Sharp.
