Omnicom bags J&J media biz

The Omnicom Group's media services company OMD has bagged the media business of Johnson & Johnson (J&J) in India. The healthcare and personal care major had put its global media business on a review. The outcome of the $3 billion global account has been keenly watched across the globe, as the business was under a review for nearly four months.
In India, where the Omnicom Group is trying to consolidate its media business, the win would add Rs 100 crore to the group's kitty. Omnicom would also be handling the media duties in China and Latin America (Universal McCann used to handle the region earlier).
