Oracle bets big on SMEs

Enterprise information technology solution major Oracle India is banking on small enterprises to drive growth in the country. Oracle India added 1,200 new mid-size Indian to its customer base of over 7,000.

Addressing mediapersons here, Krishnan Dhawan, managing director, Oracle India, said, “The segment provides a huge potential to Oracle India, which has developed applications software aimed at this segment that could be used in areas like enterprise resource planning , customer relationship management, supply chain management and human capital management.”

Mid-size across India were opting for over 1,000 Oracle products, which cater to various needs of the industry, he added.

Oracle India also plans to open a new centre in Madurai by the beginning of next fiscal. Details of the new centre in terms of investment and employment opportunities were not disclosed.
