DATA STORY: Kerala accounts for 30% of India's active Covid cases, has worst recovery rate

India on Thursday reported a net reduction of 904 to take its count of active coronavirus cases to 213,603, the lowest since June 29 and 79.02 per cent lower than the September 18 peak of 1,017,754. India’s share of global active coronavirus cases has declined to 0.86 per cent (one in 115). The country is 13^th among the most affected countries by active cases. India added 16,946 cases to take its total caseload to 10,512,093. And, with 198 new fatalities its Covid-19 death toll reached 151,727, or 1.44 per cent of total confirmed infections.
