Asian markets weak in early trade

Asian markets are mostly weak in early trades today.

Japan's Nikkei has shed 114 points to 18,108. Hong Kong's Hang Seng has dropped 94 points to 22,159.

The Taiwan Weighted index has slipped 21 points to 9128, and the Straits Times index has declined six points to 3545.

China's Shanghai Composite and the Seoul Composite indices, however, are marginally up at 3621 and 1851, respectively.
