Jairam for fast courts to settle land rights issues

Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh on Thursday called for fast-track courts to hasten the settlement of land rights of tribals. Addressing the state revenue ministers’ conference on modernisation of land records, the minister said the issue of fast-track land courts would be taken up with the law ministry soon.
