Gemological Institute Expects 10 Per Cent Export Growth

Diamond export out of India is expected to grow by 10 per cent in value terms this year. According to an estimate by International Gemological Institute (IGI), one of the largest diamond certifying agency, Indian export would reach close to $ 9 billion in 2003.

India is the largest exporter of cut and polished diamond with 9 out of every 10 diamond processed from here.
