When Kranthi Vistakula was a student of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he used to dress in layers of clothing to protect himself from the minus 15 degree in Boston. Worse, he had to the extra layers the moment he entered the classroom, which had centralised heating. He wondered why no jacket was available for cold and hot environs.
